Hello Anne,

I am a recent member to this listserve. I became interested in health
literacy while taking an adult education course as an extra in the Msc N
program here in Ottawa. For the course i did a poster presentation to
follow a short paper on health literacy. As you suggest i tried to make it
somewhat sensational or eye catching with some statistics (Canadian) and
depicted the relationship to health through cartoons of actual incidents.
The display board was cut to look like a book. From the classes' response
i would say I made an impact. Many in the class are educators and said
they never realized how much literacy could effect health.
