My own set-up does not allow the option of eliminating the original message, so far as I can tell, only the chance to highlight a few lines as I've done here. In general, I think it is fair to say that the entire genre is still in its infant stages, and there is no standardization to help one computer talk clearly with another with the level of ease and convenience our society demands. It seems that the faster we get , the faster we need to move. Let me add, for general information to the list, that this discussion group, while "moderated", is not moderator-controlled. I see the messages at the same time as everyone else, and have no control whatsoever as to the format or content. In my opinion, it is all a lesson in limitations and a positive feature of the fun of contributing to the overall learning process we are all engaged in. Keep talking, keep listening, keep asking questions. By the way, I think it is appropriate to discuss the state-of-the-art on this listserv to share our experiences, so long as we avoid starting a personal dialog of little interest to everyone else. Write to me personally at dwyoho@ aol.com if I can help in any way individually. Regards to all, Debbie Yoho, co-moderator
