I love the collective memory that this list serve provides and see what an invaluable resource you share. As a Project Coordinator for Canada's National Literacy and Health Program I've been assigned to developing learning materials on violence prevention for youth with low literacy. I am researching for teaching techniques the are non-traditional and youth friendly, such as use of spray can painting, developing a video, writing a rap song and theatre to deal with the topic of violence. I would welcome your suggestions on sources of these techniques and ideas on others that have been effective with youth. Thanks, Perpetua
