They have been extensively field-tested among Latino families with low educational levels from a wide range of Latin American families and also health care providers. (In our field-testing we found both perspectives were very important to address.) They have a built-in "ESL" component- with key words used in the stories and a corresponding glossary at the end of each story (also field-tested). The materials were developed in response to needs identified during a collaborative project between a local health department and a community college ESL program. Visit our website www.aprendopress.com for more info (we're still doing alot of 'constructing' right now) or contact me directly. Hope this is helpful!
