I am posting this as information, gleaned from another listserv:

The January 2002 edition of the CIS regional web site
at
http://cancer.duke.edu/CIS is now live.  Highlights include:

The Executive Committee and Governing Board of the International
Cancer
Council has appointed Andrew C. von Eschenbach, MD as the Director of
the National Cancer Institute.

A new clinical trials education series has been launched.  The series
contains a variety of written and audiovisual resources that can be
used
for education and outreach among both the public and health
professionals.

Our Partnership Spotlight is on the Breast Health Connection of
Georgia.
(See main "News" page.) For the past five years, BHCG has launched a
statewide breast cancer awareness program called Bells for Remembrance
which is aimed at increasing early detection among underserved women.
