A number of people have recently contacted me asking about HLMonth 2002. I'm just beginning to brainstorm ideas for this year and would like to start by creating a planning committee. Please contact me by e-mail at helen@healthliteracy.com or by phone at 508-653-1199 if you would like to be a part of this committee. I am specifically looking for volunteers with ideas, enthusiasm, some time (how much is up to you), and ideally access to resources (financial and otherwise). As HLMonth has a budget of $0.00, I expect that nearly all of our meetings will be via e-mail or over the phone. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Health Literacy Month, I encourage you to visit the Health Literacy Month Web site at www.healthliteracymonth.com Working together, we can make a difference, ~Helen Helen Osborne, M.Ed., OTR/L Health Literacy Consulting, Natick, MA Founding Director, Health Literacy Month Phone: 508-653-1199 E-mail: helen@healthliteracy.com Web site: http://www.healthliteracy.com *February 2 was Groundhog's Day in the US. Tradition has it that if the groundhog comes out of his hole in the ground and sees his shadow, we will have six more weeks of winter. He saw his shadow.
