Stehpanie:  You may find that this topic would be of interest to the Literacy 
and Women list.  Because the impact of illiteracy among women has such 
far-reaching social implications, the discussion there often includes topics 
about motivation, fear, and the messages society perpetuates.  Alsok, I 
recommend you search the Archives of each diesussion list, as well as the 
Special Collections databases where journal articles may be directly 
downloaded.    If you would like more information about this, please contact

Meanwhile, I do think your question relates to our discussion topics, as the 
issue of motivating positive health behaviors is very real.  Stay tuned--our
