I was commenting more from the vantage point offered by Dr. Rudd--that not only on this list, but in general, the health literacy issue (research especially) has "fixated" (my word) on how to express million dollar concepts in 10 cents language. She is now observing that lately the partnership of literacy and health is (and should) "mature" into much more than plain language applications. The survey ran on this list in December and January, and was conducted in response to a desire of subscribers to know something about "who's on the list". I have finished compiling the results but have not had the time to compose a report to post--with luck, I'll do that next week.
