  					Mark Your Calendar!  

The Third Biennial Cancer, Culture and Literacy  Conference 
is being held May1 6-18, 2002 in Clearwater Beach,Florida  
Please join us as we focus on cancer control across the continuum of cancer
care, from prevention to end-of-life care. We will focus on decreasing
health disparities by developing communicating strategies in a culturally,
linguistically and literacy in a relevant manner. You will experience:
presentations by keynote speakers, general discussions, poster sessions,
small-group discussions, breakfast roundtable discussions, and
pre-conference workshops (skill-building hands-on).  
Explore the nexus of cancer, culture and literacy when developing cancer
control communications and programs, strategies for facilitating the
application of research evidence for culturally, linguistically and literacy
relevant cancer communications, the use of emerging technologies in cancer
communications among diverse populations to enhance communications and
reduce health disparities, methods for identifying cancer communication
needs of priority populations for application into effective cancer control
community-based program, and ntegration of relevant cancer communication
strategies into adult education endeavors.
