I thought folks might be interested in following two health literacy
events. For more information about either event check out their
website. Both events are still taking participant registrations. If
you're interested in learning about other health literacy events coming
up go to the News and Events page on the LINCS Health & Literacy Special
Collection at www.worlded.org/us/health/lincs
A Day of Understanding - National Web Cast March 20
http://www.askme3.org/
Join health care leaders in Washington DC or for a Web cast of a
national briefing on the issue of low health literacy, its impact on the
nation's health, and the "Ask Me 3" campaign that encourages patients to
ask their providers three simple but essential questions in every health
care interaction.
Summer Institute 2003- Literacy & Health
http://www.nald.ca/PROVINCE/QUE/litcent/whatsnew/SI2003/1.htm
Participants will explore strategies for moving literacy health policy
and practice forward across local, national, and international
