The Centre for Literacy in Montreal has done several literature reviews on health literacy. They hosted a fabulous international conference last June on the topic. Take a look at their website:http://www.nald.ca/PROVINCE/QUE/litcent/health/healthlt.htm. Linda Shohet is their Director; a great contact. You can do a search on www.nald.ca ( National Adult Literacy Database) as well. The Canadian Public Health Association is hosting another national conference in October 2004 in Ottawa. They too have some great info on their website at www.cpha.ca We did a provincial project with medical and literacy folks together and have links to key resources at www.health.mb.literacy.ca Is there a core bibliography of medical/health literacy of which I should be aware?
