New School's Certificate Programs in English Language Teaching and
Teaching Adult Literacy.

All of the above teacher training courses may be taken for professional
development or as part of a New School Certificate Program.  The advantage
of taking courses within one of the certificate programs, even if you do
not plan to complete the certificate, is that you will be able to get a
transcript showing that you have taken and passed a course.  It is also
possible to take some of these courses for undergraduate credit.

Neither certificate program (Teaching Adult Literacy, 9 courses for a
total of 15 semester hours; or English Language Teaching, 10 courses for a
total of 18 semesters) is completely online as yet.

The New School for Social Research is a private university located in New
York City.
