Please do not assume that since it has been chosen to be field-tested that it is as good or not as good as any other screen in present use. The purpose of the project is to test the validity of the screens (which to date has not been done). Washington, DC: Office of Vocational and Adult Education, U.S. Department of Education. This new report available for downloading in Word format: http://www.ed.gov/offices/OVAE/sanantoniorpt.doc In this report, the Cooper screening is mentioned as one that would be field tested if the author would do some revisions. I met the author of the Cooper screening and he said he will revise. He is a man with learning differences (not diagnosed until he was an adult). I think his instrument would be highly useful (as were his workshops). My two cents. Again, I am no expert! -- Trainor
