Here's a question for everyone. What does literacy mean to you and how do you know it when you see it? Our school has literacy component in it's graduation requirements. Students must demonstrate a certain level of literacy. The problem is, we don't have a clear consistent definition of literacy, and the validity of the tools we use to measure literacy is often called into question by our faculty. So we're revisiting the topic. Does anyone care to share his or her thoughts? I thank you for any response, Tom Woods
