Some parts of PowerPath don't require reading: vision/hearing sceening spatial visualization/orientation I sometimes use part of PP for an intial screening to see if the student needs the full PP. I ask the student to write (or print) his/her name (from PP), address, phone number, social security number. say and then write the alphabet (from PP). say and then write days of week and months of yeart (from PP). Students seem to know numbers better than letters. I ask them to write numbers from 1 to 20 or 100, depending on what I think the student can accomplish successfully. If the screener knows a little of the native language, some of these screening techniques could give some information. Millie Kuth Hamilton City ABLE Hamilton OH 45011 KUTHFAM@aol.com
