Study Reviews Outcomes of Workshop Participants Now in Supported =
Employment
A recent study highlighted in InfoLines examines changes in wage, hour, =
benefit and integration outcomes of individuals who had been in =
segregated, facility-based employment and who are now in supported =
employment. Few studies have tracked the same individuals from sheltered =
to integrated employment and compared outcome data. Findings show people =
in supported employment had significantly better outcomes than when they =
were in a sheltered facility.

Congress Approves $55 Million in Grant Funding: DOL Employment Grants =
Available
The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will provide $55 =
million of new funding to the Systems Change Grants for Community Living =
program to enable states to improve their community long-term care =
