The training process for the software takes time and a high level of focus; speaking what you're trying to write is not as easy as it sounds and it's even harder depending on just what your language disabilities/difficulties are. I'm the antithesis of dyslexic and I found the training process very draining. http://www.edc.org/spk2wrt/ is a site devoted to speech-to-text, and though its funding ran out, it's still got lots of useful information on it. Also look at the technology section of LD ONLine (www.ldonline.org).
