The 14th question is:"Have you ever had a severe head injury?" What ever items they check in this orientation process, I go over with the student. If they have medical documentation that this has occurred, they are entitled to have GED accommodations which could include extra time.(Usually time and a half is granted, so if it takes an hour then an extra 1/2 hour would be allowed.) This of course needs to have special paperwork filled out by the director of the local GED program and then okayed by the state GED office before the Official GED can be given. It does hurt to ask you GED office if you are unsure. Hope this may help. Kathy Hennessy ABLE Coordinator, Lima City School
