Almost every college in the United States has an office of Disabled Student Services or something to that degree. If you need college students with dyslexia, I suggest you pick a college or colleges and work through the office there. However, I urge you not to attempt to norm a diagnostic protocal based only on college students since that is only one tail of the bell curve of adults with LD/dyslexic. We know from data on those identified (never mind those not identified) that only a small percent of students who are receiving services in K-12 for LD/dyslexia make it into college (something between 4-10% based on what data pool you look at) and therefore 90-96% of those with LD/dyslexia are not in that college setting. To develop a diagnostic protocal based only on the profile of the most successful is a grave mistake and only purpertrates myths about LD/dyslexia... Including that it is a "mild handicapping condition"... Any diagnostic protocal needs to be based on a true representation of the population ... You will find a far greater percent of those with dyslexia in prisons, welfare programs and job training programs then you will in colleges, and most of these individuals were not identified in schools, or is identified never given appropriate interventions. I wish you success your efforts, but please make the research authentic and not filled with selection bias. I need college students officially diagnosed with dyslexia. You will earn $50 for your participation. You need to live in the LA area.
