If anyone would like to know what is happening in their state check the website at www.aapd-dc.org. ....Jackie Fletcher, Disabilities Coordinator, Boston, MA. -----Original Message----- From: nifl-ld@nifl.gov [mailto:nifl-ld@nifl.gov]On Behalf Of Crawford, June Sent: Monday, July 25, 2005 3:33 PM To: Multiple recipients of list Subject: [NIFL-LD:4793] 15th Anniversary of the ADA Tomorrow, July 26, 2005, the 15th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act will be celebrated. Here in Washington, DC., a program is planned at the Marriott Hotel at Metro Center, 775 12th Street, NW, and the event is open to the public. If you are in the area and wish to attend, the hours are 9-1. Sponsors are the National Council on Disabilities and a number of federal agencies. I hope all of you who are concerned about those with disabilities, and who show that interest by subscribing to this discussion list, will take a few moments out of the day to celebrate this occasion. We have made much progress over the past 15 years. Opportunities for those with disabilities have been greatly increased and we need to celebrate the successes even as we continue to work to improve conditions for adults with disabilities.
