In response to RMALCUS's comment about not offending anyone... if we are
operating with integrity, then we will be able to hear divergent points of
view without immediately being offended. Too many times, people of color are
asked to "take care of" white folks feelings. This is not necessary and an
authentic discussion about racism needs people speaking their piece of the
truth without constantly censoring it for someone elses comfort level.

> It is very important to me that I not offend anyone. I have participated
in group sessions and observed mostly White American shut down because of
their discomfort with addressing issues of racism especially in the presence
of African American. Mind you, some African Americans shut down too. That
said, it is difficult to discuss issues of race in our society. The only
point that I was trying to make is that even in our "blind" dialogues (in
the sense that we can not see who is responding to our comments) we can
discern to some extent who is and who is not of one group or another.
> I would say that by virtue of our experiences with issues of race, there
is a way we talk about it that would be different from how most White
Americans and some African Americans would talk about it.

that suggest that we racism can readily eradicated if we ignore it.
