When you find yourself immediately defending your views, that is often an indication that something has been said that is causing you discomfort. Find out what those feelings are and what they say about you. I find that White, middle-class, Americans have a lot of trouble understand at a heartfelt level the extent of their priviledge. By the way, are you deaf or hearing impaired or deeply concerned about issues surrounding the deaf?
