The book club leader, a teacher and playwright, reads from the books aloud, and learners respond. The books discussed include: LIke Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel, Working, by Studs Terkel; Angela's Ashes, by frnak McCourt; and I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, by Maya Angelou. The segment on Angela's Ashes features two learners talking with the author about both the book's content and his writing process. For more information, please email me at the above address.
