I wanted to also mention the film "Bread and Roses", by British director Ken Loach. This film was in theaters for a hot second, but should be available in video now or soon. It is a wonderful film about the struggle of immigrant and African American workers who clean office buildings for a union, and the lead character is a fabulous, fiesty Chicana. The film includes much food for thought about work, culturre, class, etc., and gives respectful and deep attention to those who do not or cannot support the union struggle as well. Debby D'Amico
