The following is cross-posted from the NIFL-ESL List:

I just wanted to let you all know that the National Clearinghouse for
Bilingual Education (NCBE) has just posted an online collection of links and
resources related to promoting cultural understanding in the
classroom. The collection (http://www.ncbe.gwu.edu/library/tolerance.htm)
has sections with links
to information on the Middle East, Islam, and Arab Americans as well as
talking to children about violence and death and challenging stereotypes,
intolerance, and racism.

NCBE has primarily a K-12 focus in the materials it produces, collects, and
disseminates, but many of these links are general resources or materials
that could be adapted for use with adults.
