There may be several reasons why people do not address anyone's specific concerns. I for one have found other avenues to meet my unmet interests. Please do not portray people as heretics. If I do not find all my needs and interests not being met here, I look elsewhere, or sometimes start a private correspondence with people (or person) who seems interested in what I feel strongly about. For example, I am interested in the lack of learner voices in adult education. I am interested in how little learners participate in their own literacy. I am interested in doing a cross cultural comparison of grassroots learners movements in India and in the US. I find that learners are more active in their learning in India than here. I don't find too many people ever discussing that in any of the NIFL listservs. Very few discussions on inequity, income generation at a grassroots level, participatory action research....... I do not automatically jump to the conclusion that they are all against me or my agenda. I merely look elsewhere. regards Ujwala Samant
