Mr. Harrison, let me assure you that these are not fresh nor new questions.
My research and work in international literacy has been around these
questions. Which is why I used to participate in the UNDP, UNIFEM listservs
which addressed questions that were of interest to me. The adult educators
that I have had the privilege of working with do feel strongly about what
happens to their learners, and you are not alone in your feelings of anger
and frustration.
