The mission of the Latina/o Community Organizing Network/Red de
Organizadores Comunitarios is to serve as a support network and
resource exchange for community organizers of Puerto Rican, Caribbean,
and Latino descent working in these communities. We utilize the Paulo
Freire principles of community organizing, as well as participatory
research. Using a variety of methods/technologies we seek to bring
together community and university based organizers to reflect upon our
accomplishments, challenges and to celebrate our important work.
