Hello all! Have not been on in many months, but have been lurking.
Are you going to COABE? Signing up for the pre-conference on race/poverty and social justice and adult basic education. A group of us are now finalizing plans for this dialogue/action session. We plan to focus on institutionalized racism, classism, etc. - the persisting factors against equity and social justice in our field and our society.
We are interested in hearing ahead of time from any programs with direct connections to social justice organizing or efforts in your community to address institutional racism/discrimination. Specific stories of efforts/struggles and outcomes are welcome! We look forward to hearing from you!! Thanks!
