ty....will consider your message.....remember.....i was told before my first day..."don't worry too much about teaching them anything......you're just here to help us warehouse them until they quit".......so .....i guess i am still dealing with that, plus all the federal violations, and now the state violations.....the silence that is preached by articles in ESL magazine and TEACHER condones inaction in the face of abuse.....it is not for me to stand in silence and take a paycheck while being asked to violate the law.....but thanks for your patience and i am glad i did not get kicked off this one.....part of the problem is writng people back AND IT GOING TO EVERYONE...again ty

>I don't get why you want me to call you. You post something to a public newsgroup. Why not make it clear to everyone what you are trying to say? That way, we can all understand you and share our views with you.

>I must start to say that I agree with you regarding you arguing that schools let too many poor kids drop out. Then, many end up in jail, or in the military. However, it took a bunch of messages from you to drag this important statement out of you. I also agree with you that we share some of the responsibilityt for this. I wish that we could have a serious discussion about the reasons for this. I think that we could connect some of the reasons to poverty and race, which are the central focus of this group.

>However, if we cannot have a discussion where we all understand what your point is, then we can't go anywhere. What is your point in saying that we are at fault for letting kids drop out and they ending up in jail? Why are we letting this happen? What can we do? What are the reasons why this happens? How do we connect poverty and race to this problem? Can you explore this questions in complete sentences w/o the dot, dot, dot?

>I am willing to have a serious discussion about this. However, I don't want to have one in private with you. I already have my wife and some friends to agree with and have private discussions. The reason for being in this newsgroup is that I want to exchange views with many people.
