F.E.G.S. (Federation Employment and Guidance Service), one of the nation's
largest ($130M budget) and oldest (established 65 years ago) human services
non-profits, is creating a new senior management position to direct the
Agency's pioneering work in the realms of adult literacy, workforce
development and technology-assisted instruction for adult learners with
rudimentary skills. F.E.G.S. expertise in these areas has been acknowledged
by major public and private funding sources: we were chosen to participate
in the prestigious IBM Workplace Technology consortium, and have been
awarded numerous large contracts by the New York City Human Resources
Administration (BEGIN and other programs) and the New York City Department
of Employment (Titles II and III) to train low level adult learners.

We have recently relocated our main facility to state-of-the-art premises in
lower Manhattan, with more than 275 program sites throughout the
metropolitan region. We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead
our workplace training and literacy enhancement services into the 21st
Century through innovative use of learning technologies. We need an
experienced person to oversee daily operations, and a visionary expert in
systems (including inter-active and Web-based instruction) to design and
direct our future efforts. We are looking for a mature professional who has
prior supervisory experience as well as long-range planning skills.

Resumes can be sent to kmccann@fegs.org or faxed to 212-366-8057. Applicants
should indicate their availability and salary expectations.
