Box 98000 Des Moines, WA 98198-9800 206-878-3710, ext. 3373 The Instructional Designer reports to the Dean of Instructional Resources and the Senior Instructional Designer. The Instructional Designers are a two-person team providing support for faculty and instructional staff. The team provides one-on-one and small group assistance to faculty working on specific projects, as well as providing assistance to large groups. The Instructional Designer is primarily responsible for supporting the initiatives of Highline's Center for Excellence, the faculty resource and development center being developed as a component of the Colleges’ recent Title III award. The Instructional Designer’s responsibilities include: instructional design assistance for classroom and distance learning curricula, faculty training in curricula and current pedagogical practices, support for the use of technology in the classroom, and multimedia production. The Instructional Designer may also provide support to instructional staff in these areas as well.
