I am the Instructional Leader for SHAPE which is the adult basic education program that oversees Mindquest. Of interest to others might be that in addition to the diploma program Mindquest is also beginning work with GED preparation particularly the writing portion of the test. We're also piloting something else with Mindquest and our classroom diploma program. We have had to cut staff in the classroom program but the student need remains so this February we are going to be co-teaching Mindquest and classroom with learners working in a computer lab in the classroom and also working in small 2-4 person cohorts in the real-time classroom as they concurrently work on the same class on-line. We think this is a great way to serve the most learners with the best possible model and we're really anxious to see how it works.
