Hello to All Participants!
I am new to the use of listserves but learning quickly. I just began a
position as program developer for distance learning at my Adult Ed.
division in Saint Lawrence-Lewis BOCES. I am working with a pilot program
from Aztec Learning software and putting it into use through our local
library networks and eventually school library systems as well school labs
and other outreach sites. My population is 21 year olds or older who do
not have a high school diploma but can access either a home computer or one
in public setting with Windows 95 or better installed on it for operating
system. I would appreciate feedback as to existing distance learning
programs that address basic literacy and numeracy as well as higher level
programming geared to GED and diploma or workforce prep. Any information
on program development, resources, useful links, funding avenues and
procedures, and system evaluation would be very helpful. I will share all
I come into contact with as well. Let me start with this:
www.acenet.edu/bookstore (a useful compilation of all that American
Council on Education has in print for resources and program development and
vehicle to order such materials online) Hope this is useful to someone-I
look forward to hearing from all of you!

Alex Pacific; apacific@sll.neric.org ; from Saint Lawrence-Lewis BOCES
Adult Ed.
