 From The Foundation Center's RFP Bulletin, January 19, 2001:

Microsoft Accepting Applications for Technology Leadership Grants

>From the The Foundation Center's RFP Bulletin, January 19, 2001

Deadline: April 2, 2001

Microsoft Technology Leadership Grants are available to large nonprofit
organizations with the capacity to expand their use of information
technology to support their mission. The grants comprise a major software
donation to enhance a nonprofit's communications and organizational
efficiency, use of the Internet, and delivery of service to its
constituents.

Microsoft is awarding several such grants in 2001 to regional or national
501(c)(3) public charities with staffed offices in three or more states.
Applicants must have IT staff or a technology assistance provider for both
the national and field offices to implement and maintain the software
offered with the award. Applicants may not be hospitals; medical clinics;
political labor, religious, or fraternal organizations; educational
institutions (public or private); or government organizations.
