Hi Tommy, have you tried webcamming? Many people are aware of the big sites
(e.g. WebCam Central, http://www.camcentral.com/) to get started, but there
are so many other cams out there in strange places that take some real
digging to find. With a big map of the world & a package of push-pins, you
could have fun tracking down a webcam first on every continent, then every
large country or major city, furthest north or south webcam, etc. Please be
aware that this is a highly-addictive activity!

Thanks, I will consider these. I think I was looking for more of a webquest,
but one that didn't take a week to do. One person who emailed me suggested
something that I may use. i may send them to a foreign country with a
certain amount of money to spend on specific things. Tommy

But I now have a class that knows all the beginning

about an
hour or hour and a half and helps to reinforce what they know.

  Here are some suggestions:
  "shop" on line
  comparison shop for cars
use a web address on a product purchased
  look up a medical condition
look up info about a hobby/sport
look up weather in various cities
look up things to do in a city (familiar or unfamiliar)
  visit a library on line
  visit a church/ religious denomination
look up how to do a household/car repair?

I don't have any lesson plans, but I think teaching how to do a search and
then using that skill to actually do a search would be a good lesson.
