Look at the class/school visits that took place last spring or in the previous year or two for good examples of school/community Web sites designed by students and their teachers together. Some of these are adult education classes; some are K-12; some include adults and kids virtually visiting each others' classes and schools. Also, visit the Community Arts storefront on E-square2 at http://alri.org/esquare/esq2/esq2.html There is a great class Web site on Dorchester history (then and now) done by an adult education program in Boston. E-square [alri.org/esquare] is an "electronic square" on the Web for and by adult learners. Lots of interesting stuff there by learners and teachers. David J. The content of the site will be determined by the class. I expect it to include writing about a wide range of topics, including, of course, the WTC tragedy. We are already in communication with a computer training class in South Africa with whom we will be exchanging e-mail. > > I would like to have my students take a "virtual tour" of web sites designed by ESL, GED and BE classes. We are starting with <swsites.net> and I would like to hear about the pros and cons of different web hosts. > > Thanks, Jay
