On the other hand, there are probably two dozen computers four to five years old sitting in the "junk yard" of the computer center. These are late model Macs and PC with full Internet capability. I've walked the fence on computer donations before -- but feel laptops are too fragile to be used by a number of different people. I saw one of my own family members bang on my keyboard playing a game and the spacc er still doesn't work right! Insurance is very pricey. We can't afford it. Best, Jeri Levesque, Ed.D.
