If you are in a business, labor organization, educational institution,
government agency or a nonprofit and are concerned with increasing the
pool of IT workers in America through skills development then you may be
interested in this conference.

The National Policy Association (NPA) is holding a one-day information
technology workforce development conference at the Hyatt Regency Crown
Center Hotel in Kansas City, MO on December 12. The conference,
entitled "Enlarging the Pool of IT Workers to Meet Tomorrow's Needs",
will explore closing the IT skills gap so that individuals and
communities not traditionally found in the IT labor pool (women,
minorities, seniors, people with disabilities, rural areas, and inner
cities) can gain the opportunity to participate in the new economy
workforce. We will be looking at what the barriers are, how to
overcome them and the training and skills that are needed. This will be
accomplished through a series of panel presentations and discussions.
The cost is $100 (including lunch) and the registration deadline is
December 3. Information about NPA and the conference (including
registration form) are available online at NPA's web site: www.npa1.org
or you can contact me directly.
