Melanie~
If your aim is to remediate the dyslexia (as opposed to just providing =
accommodations or compensations) and you are working with older students =
(post middle school) I'd recommend the Language! Program (see =
www.sopriswest.com). Language! has impressive outcomes for older =
students. It is a very sound, complete program for improving reading, =
spelling and writing. You can read about this program in an article I =
have linked to my web site:

Another Chance: Help for Older Students with Limited Literacy
Jane Fell Greene
What to do with the ninth grader who reads at a third-grade level--show =
a video of the assigned book and accept "alternative projects" for =
credit? No, says the author, we should provide these students with a =
concentrated, ambitious, research-based literacy curriculum.

To read the article:
    1) go to www.llclinic.com
    2) click on "Resources" on the left side tool bar
    3) scroll down to " Reading: What Reading Does for the Mind" and =
click on it
    4) scroll down to the title of the article (the last one)

Good luck!
