The word-at-a-time display will help him to concentrate, and with speech at the same time he can learn to associate the written word with the spoken word. It won't help directly with maths, but maths teachers over here in UK tell me that students often have problems grappling with the question, written in ordinary English, rather than the mathematical notation. It's good that he gets on with computers, although WordAloud is simple enough to operate for total computer illiterates. Let me know how he gets on with WordAloud.
