Can anybody recommend a short book or short stories that would be of
interest to high school students in a GED class. I am looking for something
that could be read in class and that has a study guide with questions
requiring comprehension, application, and analysis of the material.

Thanks to the responses from my last inquiry. For now, we are doing daily
oral language, daily math lessons, students are involved in an individual
trip planning project, and learning basic statistics, graphing, and making
tables by shooting free throws.
