NIFL-Technology Colleagues,
I have just updated The Literacy List. You'll find it at:
http://www.alri.org/literacylist.html
I would like to call your attention to a new resource added to the Easy
Reading for Adult Learners section of the Websites for Teachers and
Adult Learners pages. It's an online newsletter called The Learning
Edge. Produced by the Wellington County Learning Center, in Arthur
Ontario, it has interesting, topical stories plainly written for a range
of learners. Each story is read out loud and is accompanied by learning
activities. At least one of the stories, which supports both literacy
and numeracy, deals with the low wages of workers in Indonesia who make
expensive shoes for North Americans. The Learning Edge also has student
writings
