Picking up on Steve's note, I actually think it would be interesting to 
share with us, from a developer's point of view, how one goes about 
making decisions on things like which multi-media plug-ins and tools to 
employ when developing a project like this.

In other words, I'm not so much interested in a defense of the choice of

Shockwave, but I _am_ interested in learning about the _process_ of 
making that decision, what issues you weigh (accessibility, development 
time, cost) etc. What are the choices?

Similarly, I'm interested in how you decided on a Web-based application 
as opposed to something that would be locally-based, (like a CD-ROM).
