Because of this listserv, I have found Dreamweaver at a substantial savings. I think I am going to go with it, since the funder is willing to pay for it. Actually I am looking at Studio MX: http://www.sprysoft.com/shop/?keyword=studio+mx&page=shop%2Fbrowse. Training is also part of this deal: http://www.natsem.com/DRM10.cfm?ecode=1202760#Topofpage. Anyway, thanks again for all the input. I'll post a link when I get it up. ******************** Cindi Riley Assistant Director Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry 1403 Prince St. Beaufort, SC 29902 phone 843-525-6658 fax 843-521-1945 lvl@hargray.com -----Original Message----- From: nifl-technology@nifl.gov [mailto:nifl-technology@nifl.gov]On Behalf Of Emilie Condon Sent: Tuesday, July 16, 2002 10:14 AM To: Multiple recipients of list Subject: [NIFL-TECHNOLOGY:2572] Re: Web design dream come true Cindi, I just bought Dreamweaver and am so not a techie. I bought it for $99, I believe, on-line, but I wanted the cd. So, I did not download but had it sent to me. It arrived quickly. Since I am a k12 teacher of esl, I was able to buy the lower cost education edition. I had taken a workshop earlier in the summer to make websites. Since it was free, we worked in Netscape's Communicator but Dreamweaver was recommended to me by the workshop leader as being easier to make a web -- once I learned how to use it! Gulp, I am sitting here trying to look at the manual and the tutorial on the screen and I am still foundering. But I would be in any web application. So, I guess it is best to be lost in the best product in the long run, even if I worry that the learning curve here is a hair pin turn!
