A few articles have appeared in the last week or so on the Maine laptop
program which some of you may find of interest.

"It Computes: Laptops equal better learning"
(From the Globe and Mail, in Canada)
<http://www.globetechnology.com/servlet/ArticleNews/gtnews/TGAM/
20021102/FC2COMP>

"Laptops Not Yet Maine-Stream"
(From Wired)
<http://www.wired.com/news/print/0,1294,56212,00.html>

While the program is for 7th graders, I think the results of this
project will have implications for educators of all kinds. Perhaps
someone on this list would be interested in posting their impressions
after reading these articles?
