Howdy.

I'm involved in a pilot project to use technology in a family literacy
program to help parents improve how they work to enhance literacy in their
young children. I'd be interested in any resources people know of already
out there in this field.

Some of the things we've talked about are helping parents learn technology
so they can access parenting resources on the Internet, giving them
information about what public schools are doing with technology and ideas
of how to support that at home (maybe including appropriate software to put
on home computers for children), and also technology resources for teachers
both in preparing lessons, maybe creating a website (assessing
audience/purpose, design, etc.), and things like using a video camera to
document interactions with children and analyzing them.

We would like to come up with new ideas as much as possible, and would also
be interested in building on good ideas already out there. So let me know
if you are aware of such resources.

Thanks!
