Hi,Fran

I'm getting overwhelmed (as you must be) with email and list serves and
SPAM of all sorts. So I missed answers to your questions. So is there
good online staff development available? Will pbs be developing some
(that would be good!) Are teachers getting credit? Is it aligned with
"what teachers should know and be able to do?" Anything ESL specific??

By the way, teachers are asking where to find the interview with me on
the EL Civics site on project-based learning and not even I can find it.
Any hints

And good to hear from you via the list serve

Cheers

heide

I'm curious if anyone on this list has experience with online
professional development for adult education. Specifically, I'm curious
about how this kind of PD is counted toward any state or local
requirements.

In fact, if anyone knows where to find a central source of state and
local adult education and ESL PD requirements, please let me know.

Earlier this year, PBS completed work on ESL/CivicsLink, an online staff
development site for adult education ESL. The site is now being operated
by KET. For more information about ESL/CivicsLink, please go to
www.pbs.og/literacy/esl

Thanks!
