Hi Irshat,

Our organization in California does a workshop for teachers on how to
build a class website using Geocities. It's free and pretty easy to use.
The only problem we've run into is that it is blocked by the firewalls of
some school districts so you have to work that out first. I don't know
specifically of teachers who have done this with their students, but I bet
they're out there.

The other idea I have is to have students use something like WikiWeb
(www.wikiweb.com), which allows you to create and edit web pages from
anywhere over the Internet, not requiring any special software. I think
this would be great for collaborative student projects, maybe between
different schools, but I haven't heard of anyone doing that, so I'm not
sure how easy it would be to teach the basics of creating a wiki site. Is
anyone out there using WikiWeb?
