Best, Mariann >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hello all, I wanted to make everyone aware of a wonderful opportunity. June Crawford from the National Institute for Literacy has informed state directors of adult education of the upcoming Bridges to Practice Train-the-Trainer module scheduled in Kansas City, Missouri. The module consists of a 5-day Part 1 training followed approximately 3 months later by an additional 5-day Part 2 training. These training sessions are provided at no cost to the state training team of 3 to 5 members. All travel, hotel, meals, miscellaneous travel expenses and Bridges to Practice training materials are covered by the National Institute for Literacy. We have given first preference to adult education programs at the State level, but any spaces that are not taken will be offered to other literacy groups and/or workforce development centers, etc. If you are interested, please let us know immediately so we can make the travel plans with your team. Teams must attend both weeks and must complete a contract with NIFL that indicates they will provide follow-up training to at least 30 additional persons. We do have room in the Kansas City sessions on these dates: February 21-25, 2005 and May 16-20 If you want to send a team, please contact the following and indicate this even if you do not have all the names at this time: Shelly Coles NIFL scoles@nifl.gov And Mimi Hatch Aspen mhatch@aspensystems.com Time is flying…so let us know now if you are coming! Thanks.
